Outside of the EU, the US is the most important market for German exports—and one of the largest closed domestic markets in the world. Imports of German products have risen steadily in recent years. German companies in the US expect further growth in their businesses in coming years, according to a recent survey by the International Chamber of Commerce.
German companies often overestimate the significance of product quality in the American market. Meanwhile, they underestimate the significance of service and local presence. We provide our customers with German-speaking staff in managerial positions, in order to prevent communications barriers in the US and to highlight important differences from doing business in Germany.
