The Global Impact Awards are held annually by MAC (Metro Atlanta Chamber) and honor Metro Atlanta companies that go above and beyond to achieve excellence in international commerce, innovation and entrepreneurship.
To be listed among the likes of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Georgia Institute of Technology is a tremendous honor for gatc LP. All of the other finalists are highly innovative companies, which inspire us greatly.
The Global Impact Awards will be held at Georgia Aquarium‘s Oceans Ballroom, on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016, where more than 450 Atlanta business leaders will assemble. The Keynote Speaker David Abney is the head of another inspiring Atlanta company, namely UPS. We at gatc LP are looking forward to this exciting event. It is truly an honor to be chosen as a finalist.

During more than 30 years in Atlanta, we set up over 200 subsidiaries of foreign companies, thus creating hundreds of jobs with our partners. The logistic infrastructure is unrivaled and paired with low business cost, is speaking to a healthy variety of different industries, which will find no lack of highly educated young professionals. Atlanta is a gateway to the South-Eastern United States, the U.S. as a whole, NAFTA, and even beyond that, to the Latin American Countries in the South. Kasim Reed, the acting Mayor of Atlanta was quoted, envisioning Atlanta as the „logistics hub for the Western hemisphere“.
One of the most weighty industrial trends in the U.S. in recent years – reshoring – offers a glimpse at what the future may hold for the South-East and Metro Atlanta: Industrial production is returning with a vengeance, merging with new technologies, offering endless opportunities for new market participants.
